It did hang up on me after the download when it was then installing but I was able to solve that problem and get it installed.  I have had no problems with 6.0 since.  Could also be luck but have not been booted even once since using it but its only been 3 days now.

You said that you would like feed back on aol 6.0. Well I downloaded it a few days ago and actually it works great for me...America Online has never been better for me.

I must say that I have been beta testing 6.0 for about three months and so far I have no complaints. I am very new to computers as a whole and this was a breeze to install and run. I have noticed some of the problems you've mentioned but as a whole I am very pleased with the results thus far.  keep up the good work and keep informing us of any problems you encounter with Aol.

i have aol 6.0 and 5.5 ie and im lovin it i have none of the problems i see listed i like it better i have no problems with the mail either and i see the speed on mine when i log on i have several friends who has it and they are not haven any trouble either.  i wouldnt go back to 5.0 now that i have this.  and i dont see no largement on the buddy list everything appears normal to me sorry to hear you had problems your the first i ever heard of this (Call me a cynic, but this sounds like a plant email)

So far, I haven't had much problems.  I have sent 3 e-mails to AOL regarding problems one was the weather the other was things now downloading images and the internet was running really slow.  All those have been corrected but they tell me to call aol.  I sent e-mails.  I told them to quit telling me that is what e-mails are for.  I would call if I wanted to.  I didn't need an answer right away.  I copied my stuff from 5.0 to here.......I didn't just move files.  I wanted a back up if I needed one.  I told them the waves didn't work but I check the sound on the computer and it works.  I did it right so I said don't tell me it is the computer it is AOL.  I do have trouble getting connected but I did on 5.0.  Other than that....things seem to be okay.
I am sorry I downloaded it now.....after what I read.  My cousin said she was a testor and didn't like it at all.  This is a fairly new computer.  I guess I didn't pay attention that you couldn't save favs and address book.  I have everything still on 5.0 so....hopefully everything will work okay.  Like I said the sounds are the only thing that haven't worked right.  I still can't find the media radio or whatever it is......a guy at work was asking me about that too today.....Thanks for your insite.

You asked to receive e-mail with reports on aol6.  I guess I am one of the lucky ones (so far, anyway).  I downloaded it 2 days ago and so far, so good.  Thanks for the info...and I wish the best for all of you who have had problems!

Hi....I was told by beta tech on phone that our modems are actually connecting at our reg 56K speeds, whatever that happens to be, it's just not listed properly....Yeah I know your speed doesnt show up at all when you're signing on...I got suspicious when I went to download manager and opened up the wav letters I had in there...they all said <at 28,800...but I tested this I downloaded one mp3 wav that should have taken a half-hr according to the estimate in the letter containing the file...I timed the download and it took a little bit more than half the time, about 17 min.  But that is annoying that the correct modem speed does not show during the 7 step sign-on process....

I am using 5.0 at this point because sometimes it does seem much slower 6.0.

As for Wavman, they just released an update to the Wavman 10 beta series, namely Wavman 10.0.12 which I have on my PC...it has a feature called "wav detect."  All your reg compressed wavs no matter what the length will now play in chat rooms.  Another good feature is if you're moving your wavs to another area or deleting and creating new wav categories you dont have to sign off and re-start your system in order to hear the wavs in their new places.  I have all my 2000+ wavs in AOL 6.0 with 10 subcategories, such as "50's-60's Rock" etc.  I went to a private room by myself and sent the wavs to the room, they worked fine.

I have it downloaded and been using about a week.  no current problems. The only thing I found was that it deleted my previous downloads even on AOL 5.
