What's on the CD?
This is a copy of the readme file on the "Danny's Gold" CD. This CD is primarily for users who don't want to spend the huge amounts of time on the net downloading this "Gold." Or for anyone who wants a "Hard Copy" of these programs in case of a crash or a system wipe. Ever have an installation go bad and have to start all over? I have! Believe me, even with Cable, it's a royal pain to go through it. Especially the browser "plug in's;" which are ALL here!!!
A New Computer MUST have these programs to function properly on the Internet, they don't come with it installed. Why? I don't know, I've never figured that out...
I have everything from the latest plug'in's for IE, AND IE! To the best Internet security out there for any price: Free! All up to date, with the newest worthwhile versions of these programs.

The pay programs are still that. (there are two) I supply the trial versions, no unlocking code. That would be illegal. Most of the rest are no longer published, and were freeware when they were. I highly recommend them all.

This is version 4.0 and represents pretty much all the programs I use. Not all, but the rest are very technical.
System requirements:
Any version of Windows 9x, Me and XP. That's pretty simple!
All important versions are up to date at the time of this pressing.
Just use the auto update features of the key programs to update, or get a new
"Danny's Gold" CD once
a year upon your renewal.

ABC: Is a program that will take a list, and put in in alphabetical order for you. No Longer Published.
Ad Aware; Version 6: Is a freeware program. It will search your computer for "Spyware," and take it out for you. Don't allow your computer to track you. A Must Use!
Ad Subtract; Version 2.5: This program, "free for personal use" will filter out all cookies and
ad pages from Internet sites. A Must Use!
AOL:
These program files are for the many of you who have asked for these versions, so I included them here. (No version 6! It's garbage; no version 7 either, use 8) They are not paying me anything for this! Believe me! A Must Have!
AOL 3: Original setup files for Aol 3.
AOL 4: The most recent version of Aol 4.
AOL 5, 5 DSL: Is the Verizon version of AOL, this will work with Windows Me, and Aol/DSL. This is the most advanced version of AOL5 ever made. And, if you upgrade online from it, it gives you the most advanced version of any version of AOL you upgrade to. (No Longer Published; DSL is not required.)
AOL 8, 8 DSL: This is the Verizon edition of AOL8. This jewel was just released and is BY FAR, THE BEST AOL EVER!!! See my tips article on it!!!
AOL 8+: This is the program that changed it all! If you have a high speed connection, it's a MUST have!
AOL 9 Optimized: This is the latest of the pride. It has the newest in Spam controls and is the version I use.
AOL Sounds: Are the AOL sound files I use on my computer.
Atomic Clock: Is a little program that will set your Computers Clock at the Naval Observatory. No Longer Published.
Big Ben: Is a neat little program that if put in your start file, will make your computer sound the chimes of Big Ben in relationship with your system clock. Back by popular demand.
Brick: Is a cute program, if you get flustered, just throw a brick at your screen. LOL No Longer Published.
Clip Trakker: The newest version; this makes your clipboard what it should have always been! It's their trial copy. Try it, You'll buy it.
Clone CD: Will clone any CD and make a copy of it. Even copy protected CD's. The Freeware Version. (Yes, it works!)
Compushow Image Viewer: This replaces last years Viewer Pro for creating slideshows/screen savers etc. Viewer Pro was no longer published and was causing problems with ME.
Computer Diagnostics: Is the newest version of Sandra 2004. This will put your computer through the ringer and tell you everything you'd never want to know about it. A great tool to tell if your computer is running the way it should.
Dr. Ping: Is a tool that makes it easy to change your RWIN settings to optimize your computer for a high speed connection. (see dslreport.com) You can actually double, or triple (I did) your connection speed simply by tweaking your Windows for it.
Drive Scanner: Is a neat little program that will show you graphically, how your programs are stacked on your hard drive.
Driver Backup: Is a great utility that backs up all the hardware drivers on your computer and put them all in one place. This is useful if you do a system wipe. No more changing a million disks.
Fax Machine: Is a good alternative if you ruin your Fax Machine, and don't want to wipe your system. A good Temporary fix, if you will.
File Association: Ever wonder what all those .axr, .doc extensions mean and what programs use them? This will tell you. No Longer Published.
Find Your Passwords: This is a utility that will help you find lost or forgotten passwords.
Finger Cursor: Is kind of a joke program. Your cursor will suddenly appear as a hand with the middle finger up. LOL No Longer Published.
Fonts: Contains the fonts I use on Danny's Daily's, and all my Web Pages. A Must Use
Graphic Workshop: Is a program that will convert graphic files to any type of format you can think of. No Longer Published.
High Jack This: Is a great Spyware protection program.
Icon Control: Is a program that will allow you to change your Windows System Icons. No Longer Published.
Icons: Is a huge assortment of Icons for your pleasure. No Longer Published.
Joke Programs: Is a couple of practical joke programs that are funny. One causes a fake reformat of your C: drive and the other fakes a Windows delete. No Longer Published.
Magnifying Glass: Puts a magnifying glass on your screen. It moves with the mouse. Double click it, it disappears to the system tray. Click on the tray, and it pops back up. No Longer Published.
Media Player: A copy of Microsoft Media Player 7 and 9. I included it so you don't have to download it. A Must Use.
Mime Decoder: Will be added to your right click on your mouse. If you ever get an Internet Download in mime format, this will decode it for you. No Longer Published.
Mp3 Maker: This will take a wave file and convert it into a Mp3. Use this if you want to send a friend an actual song. This will compress a wav file to less then one tenth it's original size. Very easy to use; just a right click. You're gonna like this one...
Pinball Games: This contains a couple of very nice pinball game demos. If you like pinball, try these out. No Longer Published.
Popup Stopper: Includes the newest version: Will stop those annoying popups. But it only works in IE directly, AOL has it's own. This WILL change the way you browse!
Power Up: Allows you to change Windows hidden system settings. I use it to get rid of those annoying arrows on shortcut icons. Freeware Version.
Print Key: Does what it says: It turns your "Print Key" into a print key, just like the old days. LOL Freeware Version.
Quick Mix: This will set different sound levels for your speakers. Do you have a game that screws it all up? This makes it a one click affair to fix it. You can make as many setting as you like. For me: A Must Use! No Longer Published.
Quick Time, Full Version: This allows you to install Quick Time without having to download it off the Internet and includes versions 4, 5, 6, and the new 6.5. A Must Use.
Ram Booster: Don't leave home without it. Really! This could save you from a crash. No Longer Published. A Must Use.
Real Player: Version 8. Read the directions on the tips site for installing. This saves you from having to download it or getting buried with the new version. A Must Use.
Registry Cleaner: Will sweep your register of entries that no longer are valid and is from Microsoft.
Screen Saver Control: Will put an icon on your tray, this allows control over your screen savers without having to go through control panel. Handy when you do defrags. Very nice program. Freeware version. A Must Use.
Spybot Search & Destroy: Is a top shelf anti-spyware killer. (make sure you update it with it's auto-update button. It's constantly updated.)
Spyware Blaster: Is a top shelf spyware immunizer! Once you immunize, you'll never catch the same one again! (make sure you update it with it's auto-update button. It's constantly updated.)
Stinger: Is a top shelf spyware killer for those spyware programs that can evade detection. A "when all else fails" program.
Start Up Manager: This is a nice little program that will list all your start up programs. You can disable them or delete them completely.
Terminator: Is a shell program for AOL. It stops those annoying inactivity screens, will shut off your IM's with one button, will disable buddy chats, and those annoying AIM porn invites. Trial Version. A Must Use.
Text Cleaner: Is a little program that takes all the net garbage from email, (<<<<) and formats the text clean. Great program! No Longer Published. A Must Use.

Typing Tutor: Is a nice program that teaches you how to type. No Longer Published.
Uninstall Flash Players: Sometimes when you download Flash Player at a Flash enabled site, it may corrupt. This allows you to uninstall it. Then you can go to macromedia.com to get the actual version from them.
Win Zip: Do I really have to explain what this is? It will unzip zipped files you download off the Internet. It makes unzipping a right click affair. A Must Use.
Win Amp: The best sound player available today. I also included the skins I use for it. This saves you from having to download it. A Must Use.
Windows XP Upgrade Advisor: This saves you from having to download it. It checks your computer over and tells you what you need to upgrade before you upgrade to Windows XP. A nice tool from Microsoft.
WS-FTP: This is the FTP upload program I use to upload to my web space. Many of you asked for one. Here it is.
And Zone Alarm: Read my articles on my tips site about net security. This is the best firewall there is. PERIOD! Free for personal use. A Must Use.
