I Believe In Angels

Once upon a time, there was this man.

He was a special man, a heart filled with love.

He made people smile, if only for a while.

His star shone brightly, but was just one in the sea of eternity.

And, there was this girl half a world away.

One day, she saw his star in the sky and journeyed over to see.

She watched the man quietly working his magic.

In awe, she watched, smiled, and shared the magic; so others could be free.

Years went by, and as happens in all fairy tales,

they met.

"Come hold me my Angel," I asked,

"Let my star reflect in your eyes,

Let me see who I am,

I fear I am a man lost in the skies."

"Oh silly Danny, just a man?" she laughed.

"I watch you make your magic for all to share.

You're such a special man because you care.

Look at your star shining so bright,

and still you wonder who you are?"

"It's easy to lose myself, it's not a permanent thing.

I search for it near, I search for it far.

I find it, then wind up losing it again,

What is this star?  Why can't I keep it?  Why isn't it the same?"

She merely smiled and kissed me, ever so gently.

I looked deep into her eyes, is that a tear I see?

The eyes never lie...

I touched her and felt so lost and unworthy.

She dropped her clothes, and whispered;

"All that I am, I am for you; come be with me."

I looked down at her beautiful body to see.

The tears started to well, the touching of two souls becoming one.

Long after the loving, long after the touching was done.

Long after the glow, the tears still showed.

How could this man deserve such a wonderful soul?

Because God Gave the Man, a Keeper for His Star..

This story doesn't end here, the fairy tale has just begun,

The story of two becoming one; how long?  Until it is done...

Many people don't believe in angels.  Many people don't care:

But one day God created an angel, and with this little man Danny

he shared...

 He shares with all of us...
